“Shitty First Drafts” helped me come to the realization that even the best of writers have to go through a long process to end up with their final product. After reading this, I felt as if I am able to conform with Anne Lamott. Her post has given me a confidence boost knowing her writing doesn’t start out perfect either. Being able to build upon your first draft is important because it helps you get to the best of your abilities. It gives you a foundation to build around and grow. Without our shitty first drafts we would have our final flawless work.
