Chapter 1 has been very informative to me about the basics of genre. Genre is not just a category of music it is much deeper than that. A genre can range in many different cases. A genre can change based on the category which one wants to use it as. Genres aren’t just used to describe the category of a book, but can also be used to portray your own interest, such as an I phone. An I phone has different genres throughout it. For instance, the variety of apps you can use on it. From the weather app all the way to the Instagram app, an I phone can do it all
